Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food; or try some home raised, rare breed pork over the firepit grill, then a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

Holmebeck Shepherd's Hut @ Ravensworth

Escape to our cosy Shepherd’s Hut for two, the perfect hideaway to switch off and unwind. Nestled on our 40-acre smallholding on the edge of Ravensworth village, it’s just a 10-minute stroll to The Bay Horse pub and restaurant, and a 20-minute walk to Mainsgill, one of the largest farm shops in the North. The hut sits in its own private fenced meadow, overlooking a tranquil pond. Outside, you’ll find a covered seating area for al fresco dining, along with your very own wood-fired hot tub.

Jessie's Hut

Our first hut (Ben's hut) was so successful, we've built another one !! Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut has a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre.
