The Old National School is a Grade II listed house, nestled in the beautiful hamlet of Sampford Spiney, located within Dartmoor National Park. Dating from 1585, the house sits in an idyllic spot between the Church and picturesque Sampford Manor. Originally the Church hall, it became the parish school in 1887 until 1923. It was only in the 1960’s that it became a residential dwelling. With its varied history, the house is quirky, with its lovely spacious rooms hinting at its eclectic history.

Blackberry Cottage is a 300 year old cottage which we have lovingly refurbished into a beautiful cottage for modern living. The spaces are light and airy, the kitchen is south facing and has bifold doors leading out to the patio and garden, bringing the outside in. Blackberry cottage is available on a weekly basis during the school holidays with changeover day being a Friday. Outside school holidays the cottage is available for 3 night minimum stays for your perfect seaside escape.

This hut has been lovingly crafted from reclaimed materials salvaged from the working farm, set amidst an area of outstanding natural beauty. Enjoy cosy evenings spent under starry skies warming yourselves by the fire, or in our wood fired hot tub, and Spend your days paddling down the beautiful estuary with Kayaks you can hire from us!

The gorgeous harbour town of Salcombe is less than five miles away. This cosy cottage is the ideal bolt hole for a couple with up to two children. Two bedrooms; one double bed room and one bedroom with two single beds. Bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. Open plan kitchen/living/dining. Fully working wood burning stove.
