Bring your golf clubs and swing into the Benbow KOA to rent a cart and spend the day on the greens. 8 miles North on the 101 you will find the Avenue of the Giants with several groves to stop and hug the Redwoods. 18 miles South on the 101 you will find the Famous Drive Thru Tree, a must see with family!

Tent, q-sized inflated bed, showers, ocean 1 mile

This tent is permanently darkened on the exterior by mold. We cannot clean it without destroying the waterproofing. It is ugly, but otherwise in very good shape; interior is NOT moldy. Tent is roomy, w/queen-sized inflated bed, firepit/free wood, picnic table, & propane heat if needed ($8 ). Bring your own bedding: pillows, towels, sleeping bags, etc. We can provide bedding if necessary, but have to charge a $20 flat fee for laundering (PG&E costs are ridiculous), for which we are sorry.

After walking down several stone steps, nestled among trees and flowers, you will find a cozy guesthouse filled with a comfortable lounging area, and a quaint bedroom. Then exit to the back deck and spend time sitting by the fish ponds, you can venture onward to explore the Secret Garden where you may spot different butterflies, birds, and even friendly bees. Just down the steps across the OUTDOOR LIVING ROOM, step into the "Shower Grotto", inside an Old Growth Redwood Stump with a Rain Shower.

If you are looking for a farm stay in the redwoods, come stay with us at this studio cottage with a full kitchen, washer dryer, patio, and fire pit. Enjoy the early morning (and sometimes all day) sounds of ducks, geese, turkeys and cattle . Surrounded by acres of Redwood trees, no street lights, and lots of wildlife. Enjoy the stars from the patio in redwood rocking chairs. The cottage has Roku Smart TV, NETFLIX, WIFI & all basic bath & kitchen essentials.

The Red Barn Cottage is located within walking distance of the Victorian village of Ferndale. The Cottage is a charming, separate studio with a private entrance, gated patio, full kitchen and bathroom. We provide wonderful amenities including coffee, teas, continental breakfast items and snacks for our guests. A small to medium size dog is allowed but with our approval and an additional nonrefundable pet fee.
