The Barn House at Owens Acres

Enjoy a peaceful stay in our cozy, cute barn at the base of Lazy Mountain. Surrounded by stunning Mountain View’s and towering green trees this barn is sure to please as it is neatly tucked in to the back of our two acre property, sitting behind our beautiful log home. With a full kitchen, full couch and TV, king size bed, and washer and dryer in the bathroom, you are set to stay as long as you like and feel right at home while on your Alaskan vacation. The barn house is 640 square feet total.

Nestled in the mountains, at the heart of Matanuska Valley, the cottages are built on the PERFECT piece of land that has a 270 degree view of the surrounding mountains including the iconic Pioneer Peak, just a few miles away is the small town of Palmer that offers a quaint hometown feel. With a population of roughly 6,000 people, its 42 miles northeast of Anchorage on the Glenn Highway. Please kindly know that while we welcome guests of all ages, the minimum age to book a stay is 25 years.

Our 2021 constructed craftsmen cottage is nestled in the woods but very close to Palmer. This is a quiet 8 acre parcel but only 5 minutes from breweries, shops and restaurants in downtown Palmer. Close to Hatcher Pass, Independence Mine, Glaciers, Hiking, Musk Ox and Reindeer farms. The owner's house is also on the property and they are available to you throughout your stay. The owners have lived in Alaska for over 40 years and are committed to helping you with all there is to experience!

This Beautiful Chalet on Wolverine Lake is located just 59 miles north of Anchorage International Airport on a beautiful lake with no public access. It is surrounded by the Chugach mountain range. Directly in front of the Chalet is a spectacular view of Matanuska Peak, it is 6,155ft tall. It is a rare occasion to see anyone on the lake. With over 3 miles of shoreline there is plenty of area to fish and view wildlife. Fast wi-fi and parking for 2 vehicles per rental is available.
