Powley's Wild Goose Lodge

Wild Goose Lodge was originally built as a hunting lodge. There are four large main floor two bedroom units with full bathroom and kitchen. The rear decks have BBQs and large outdoor cookers for your lobster feast. This is a very private and quiet location overlooking the fishing village of French River. Pet-friendly and wheelchair accessible Lodge Room #5 has a queen and a twin bed, a private bathroom, a deck outside and free wifi. Many guests choose us as a homebase for exploring Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail. You can also bring your furry friend for an additional $15 a night. We rent kayaks, canoes and paddle boards and have a Bistro on site. Hot tubs are available to rent for an additional fee (must reserve 24 hours in advance).
