A large trail system nearby, for snowmobiles, quads and other off road vehicles. Great place to just sit back and relax. Very Private, nearest neighbor is me, 20 acres away. No hunting or shooting allowed.

A historic home in downtown Alpena MI along the shores of Lake Huron, most likely built in the early 1900's. House "La Mer Douce" is charming and comfortable. If these walls could talk...they would share stories about Alpena and the early commercial fishing port that soon after soon grew to be one of the nation’s most profitable lumber harvesting locations. Location, View, Hot Tub, Shop, Restaurants, Beach

My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

My place is less than a block from Restaurants, an outdoor Splash Park, and beaches along Lake Huron. Within walking distance is a park with basketball and tennis courts, a bandshell for outdoor concerts in summer and more beach access. If you're looking for a night in, the backyard is private with a firepit and hot tub, or enjoy the game/activity room downstairs.

Beach days and bonfire nights

You'll have a great time at this comfortable place to stay situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Huron. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Sandy shoreline, kayaking, swimming, grilling and bonfires. Only a 5 mile drive North to Alpena or less than 4 miles to Ossineke and venture to Dinosaur Gardens or Connie's Cafe for breakfast.
